Hosted and ran by Multiplay, Insomnia is the UK’s biggest video game festival and social event for video game enthusiasts.
Spread over four days, this April saw Insomnia i60 descend into the Birmingham NEC.
Joining in with the festivities were music artists including; Chase & Status and Years & Years, and the Zelda Symphony Orchestra performing for one night only, ‘Symphony of the Goddess.’
Insomnia i60 made an impressive mark on the video game industry for Multiplay, with PlayStation, Microsoft, and Nintendo all in one place for the four day event.
With visitors also able to sign up to numerous time slots throughout the day to experience new games and tech at stands.
i60 was an immense achievement for Multiplay, added to the fact with their ability to provide a huge LAN Gaming Hall and indoor camping within the NEC building. As Insomnia originally started out as a big LAN convention event, it was fascinating to see how much it has grown and incorporated so much of the support the event currently has today.
I was tasked with providing marketing photography for the stands provided by Multiplay to show potential new clients the space they could work with, wishing to join Insomnia in future events.
